Registration (Information Collection & Use)
In order to use this Web site, we request (as identified above) certain personally identifiable information from you on the registration form, and require you to create a user name and password. During registration you are required to give contact information (such as name and email address). We use this information to determine whether or not you can be approved to use the services on our site.
You have the option to provide demographic information (such as income level, gender and birth date) to us; we encourage you to submit this information so we can provide you a more personalized experience on our site.
As part of our registration process we send automated email communications letting you know whether or not your profile has been approved or rejected by Supersocial.com. These are the only emails you will receive with respect to the registration process. We do send separated automated email communications alerting you that a member has sent you a wink or a personal message, but this only occurs after registration is completed and approved. If you do not wish to receive any further automated email communications, your account will need to be deactivated. A request for deactivation can be performed as follows:
  • Log into Supersocial.com with your approved username and password
  • Click on the link at the bottom of any page called "Contact Us"
  • Send a message requesting the deactivation
  • A deactivation request can take up to 24 to 48 hours to be completed
  • Once the deactivation has been completed, your account will be removed from the system and you will no longer have access to Supersocial.com
Supersocial Inc. is the sole owner of the information collected on www.supersocial.com. Supersocial Inc. collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points during our registration process.
Uses of Information (Information Collection & Use)
Supersocial.com uses all of the information collected to create an environment whereby users can share their dating related information, and discover other singles for the purposes of networking, establishing a friendship, creating a relationship, and dating. Information other than Personally Identifiable Information including About Me and About My Match write ups, and personal criteria (e.g., eye color, height, and pets) are all part of creating a virtual space where singles can collaborate and connect. First name, last name, birth date, and email address are never displayed to the members of our site.
Disclosing, Selling, Renting, or Trading of Personally Identifiable Information
Supersocial does not share, sell, rent or trade its Personally Identifiable Information with third parties for their promotional purposes.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.
Updating/Accessing/Amending/Correcting Personally Identifiable Information
If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, or amend it by making the change on your My Profile page (under Edit About Me). We provide members with the ability to update the following information:

  • Last Name
  • Gender
  • Email Address
  • Birth Date
Changes to the above items must be submitted to Supersocial for review and approval. The review and approval process can take up to 24 hours following submission.
Users have the ability to hide their profile at anytime. This is done by going to My Profile, selecting Privacy Preferences, and then selecting Hide My Profile. While the profile is hidden, other members will not see the user's profile and all communications will be blocked.
In order to delete a profile and all of the associated PII, a user will need to log into the system and send a request for deletion to Supersocial. This is done by logging in with an approved username and password, selecting the Contact Us link (available on any page), and requesting the deletion. For security reasons, requests for deletion cannot be accepted from users who are not logged into Supersocial.com. After receiving the request, the deletion will be made within 24 to 48 hours.
Protecting Information
Our information is stored on U.S. based computers. This is protected within a facility that implements physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in accordance with applicable US federal and state regulations.
Analytical Information Collected
Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is a communication protocol for transferring information over the internet. HTTP is a request and response standard between you the end-user and a Supersocial.com web server. For each HTTP request you make (which is what your Web browser generates when you request a page or part of a page from Supersocial.com website), we collect and store only the following standard information:

Cookies
Supersocial utilizes persistent cookies to provide users with the option of returning to the site without having to reenter their username and password during each visit. When a user selects "remember me" during the login process this tells our system to remember that user during subsequent visits for up to a maximum of two weeks. Our persistent cookies do not store your password. The "remember me" function should only be utilized when using a personal computer that is not available to the public or shared with other individuals.
We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.
